Is the exploration of the universe necessary?

Universeb

40 years ago, Man landed on the moon. It was a dream come true. At that time, it was posible due to the "Star Wars" between the USSR and the USA. Nowadays, China is planning another trip to the moon. And Mars? when is a human beeing going to land on Mars? Do you think exploring the Universe should be a priority? Why? Do you think we can afford Space exploration? Of course, science-fiction has already built many Castles and Kingdoms in other Galaxies. Can you think about one or two? Which one do you prefer, and why? And what about extra-terrestrial life? Is there someone out there?

  1. Obviously we have two differents points of view about if is the exploration of the universe necessary. The first one is the religion point of view, and the second one is obviously the technology. However it's depend of the way of we think.
In my opinion it's really important to know what happend or is going to pass in the future thanks to the exploration.

  2. I think it is not necessary to the exploration of the universe, because I think there are other priorities to use technology or create new technologies to improve the planet we are living. I think with the research and findings they have done is enough to get an idea like this one made the universe but to go beyond looking for another planet to live or to find other unknown galaxies lives, I think it's a waste of time, resources and knowledge that could be used to create a system of environmental protection or something to help not destroy our own planet.

  3. Maybe it is important to explore some things about the universe, for example, to control if dangerous meteorites come to the earth or others dangers. But I think that is unnecessary to invest so much money to study other planets, while our planet need a lot of care, studies and investment.

  4. The universe have many things that are important to investigate, infinite things. But, we have a beautiful planet, with infinite aspects to investigate too. We live here and I think that it is more important to explore and know about the place where we live.

  5. I think it is necessary, but if just it is to know more about our planet, no to explot it and to destroy, because we don't know if exist life in another planet or another part of the universe, so we should be very careful with the way that we explore it.

  6. Yes, it is important. I am truly convinced that there's life in other planets, intelligent life forms that can help us to save our planet. Imagine the benfits of coming across with other civilizations, not only in an economic way but also in a scientific and cultural way too. We must put aside the stupid belief that we are the center of the universe and that there's no life further this planet ironically named EARTH.
